The Midtown Story

Our Beloved Ms. Judy
1952-2023

Once upon a time in midtown Phoenix, a vibrant and bustling neighborhood, there stood a small school that was more than just a place of education—it was a beacon of hope and support for the entire community. This special institution was founded in 2002 by a compassionate and determined woman named Judy White. She called it Midtown Primary School.

Judy had a vision that went beyond traditional education. She dreamed of creating a school that not only nurtured the minds of young learners but also provided a haven of support for their families. With this goal in mind, she embarked on the journey of establishing a school that would be a pillar of strength for the community.

She created a super team of people who shared her love and dedication to children. The school became a haven for neighborhood kids seeking not only knowledge but also a safe, warm, and loving environment. Judy believed that education should extend beyond the classroom, encompassing the holistic development of each child and their family.

Midtown Primary was not just a place where children learned math, science, and reading; it was a hub for whole family support. Judy understood that a child's success in education was closely tied to the well-being of their family. To address this, the school offered a range of services and programs aimed at uplifting the entire family unit. It became a space where parents could actively participate in their children's education, creating a strong bond between the school and the community it served.

As the years passed, Midtown Primary School flourished, becoming a model for community-centric education. The success stories of its students and the positive impact on families spread throughout the neighborhood, attracting attention and support from various quarters.

Judy's unwavering commitment and the collaborative efforts of dedicated educators turned the small school into a cornerstone of the community. Graduates went on to achieve great things, not only academically but also as compassionate and responsible members of society. Many graduates are now returning with their children.

Recognizing the challenges faced by many families, she established an eviction prevention fund, ensuring that no child's education was disrupted due to housing instability. Additionally, Judy initiated a community-driven food pantry, providing a vital resource for families struggling with food insecurity.

The legacy of Judy White and Midtown Primary School will live on, as Judy left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had been touched by its warmth and dedication. The school stood as a testament to the transformative power of education when coupled with genuine care and support for the entire family.

And they all learned happily ever after...
